Seasons Greetings

Dear ECCQ family and friends,

As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on the remarkable progress we’ve made together at ECCQ. This year has been a pivotal chapter in our journey, and we are genuinely excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for the peak body.

As we look towards 2025 and beyond, ECCQ remains strong in our commitment to strengthening communities and empowering future generations. Our goal is to provide the tools and resources that will enable individuals to lead confidently and drive Queensland’s progress forward.

Our achievements would not be possible without the unwavering support of our Board, members, staff, community partners, and sponsors. Your continued engagement and dedication are the foundation of our success, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership.

We are also pleased to share that Lisa Ward, ECCQ’s CEO, has been selected to participate in the Social Impact Leadership Australia (SILA) program, which includes a sabbatical from January 13 to March 17, 2025. During this period, Gary Taylor will step in as Acting CEO, while Dr. John Bosco Ngendakurio, our Manager for Research, Policy, and Advocacy, will oversee the peak body work.

Please note that our office closure dates are:

  • 20th December 2024 – 6th January 2025

We will have minimal and essential staff working during this break, this includes our aged care staff (Berlasco and Diversicare).

As we enter this holiday season, we wish you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas, and a safe and happy New Year surrounded by your loved ones.
