The Building Australian Skills for Employment (BASE) Traineeships support migrants and refugees in the Brisbane South area who have overseas professional qualifications and/or have completed a professional qualification in Australia but are still unable to find work.
BASE is designed to help people to get Australian workplace experience and get qualifications and/or skills recognition to help them find work within local business and community services workforce and the broader jobs market.
Through BASE each trainee completes a Certificate I in Workplace Skills, while undertaking 19 weeks paid work placement with a community-based host organisation.
