The Building Australian Skills for Employment (BASE) Traineeships support migrants and refugees in the Brisbane South area who have overseas professional qualifications and/or have completed a professional qualification in Australia but are still unable to find work.
BASE is designed to help people to get Australian workplace experience and get qualifications and/or skills recognition to help them find work within local business and community services workforce and the broader jobs market.
BASE is set to commence on the 3rd March 2025. Each trainee will complete a Certificate I in Workplace Skills, while undertaking 19 weeks paid work placement with a community-based host organisation.
To be eligible you must be:
- Australian citizen/permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant),
- A temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency,
- Or a New Zealand citizen.
