Amidst a packed and engaged audience, ECCQ Multicultural Partners successfully delivered the 11th version of the Diversity and Inclusion Forum in Cairns, supported by the Aged & Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA), the Department of Health and Aged Care, and the United Workers Union.
The event brought together Aged Care providers, health professionals, aged care workers and students, which had the chance to hear from industry-relevant guest speakers, engage through thought provoking workshops and network with other service providers that work with diverse communities and consumers.
ECCQ is proud to have provided leaders in the aged care sector with a platform to discuss key issues facing the CALD workers and residents, including individual and systemic racism, as well as the most effective mitigation strategies.
A resource that summarises the insights, key points and discussions from the workshops has been developed by the Multicultural Partners team, a great tool to keep the conversations going. You can review it here.
