ECCQ Chronic Disease Program Participates in Australian Public Health Conference 2024

Staff from the ECCQ Chronic Disease Program recently attended the 2024 Australian Public Health Conference held in Perth, Western Australia. This year’s theme, “High Value Public Health in a Complex World,” served as a guiding principle throughout the three-day event, which featured inspiring presentations and workshops led by both national and international experts in the field.

Bahar Nader, Multicultural Health Worker, was accepted to present on the topic of “Empowering CALD Communities Through Collaborative Partnerships in English Classes”. Bahar highlighted the importance of partnerships and creating safe spaces for communities to share their stories, needs and experiences and in turn creating healthier communities in Australia. By creating inclusive environments that encourage participation and collaboration, we can better address health disparities and ensure that all voices are represented.
