We’re excited to share that the Youth Ethnic Network (YEN) is developing a youth Toolkit for Queensland, a new resource designed to strengthen youth advocacy, leadership, and representation across our multicultural communities.
At the heart of the toolkit will be the voices and stories of young people from across Queensland. Through lived experience, creativity, and reflection, the toolkit will showcase how culturally, and linguistically diverse young people are navigating issues such as mental health, cost of living, and employment, with the aim of inspiring understanding and driving positive change within families, communities, policy, and the wider ecosystem that shapes young people’s lives.
More than a collection of stories, the toolkit will be a practical and advocacy‑focused resource highlighting recommendations and insights to better support young people and ensure their perspectives are heard where decisions are made.
YEN is currently in the early stages of development and seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for young people who would like to be involved in shaping and co‑designing the toolkit. This is an opportunity to contribute, collaborate, and help ensure the toolkit reflects the diversity, strengths, and realities of young multicultural Queenslanders.
