ECCQ joined fellow delegates at the Ageing Australia QLD State Conference, hosted from 9th to 11th June 2025 in Gold Coast. The national peak body for aged care brought together leading sector experts, keynote speakers, advocates, and stakeholders in the sector.
The ECCQ team took part as exhibitors to advocate for and represent the interests of multicultural older people across the aged care sector. Furthermore, our CEO, Lisa Ward, facilitated the panel discussion: “Strength in Diversity: Embedding Inclusion in Aged Care Practice”, focusing on the importance of cultural safety, equity, and representation in the aged care reform.
We were pleased to be part of this forum, in which we gained valuable insights, connected with industry leaders and, most importantly, explored the latest innovations, especially in relation to the Aged Care Act 2024.
