World Mental Health Day 2024: Chronic Disease Program Mindfulness Videos

World Mental Health Day was established on October 10,1992 by the World Federation for Mental Health. Since then, it has been observed every year with the aim of raising awareness in the global community about critical mental health agendas through collaboration with various partners to act and create lasting change.

This year’s theme was “It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace”. The campaign emphasises the significant impact of workplace environments on employees’ mental well-being. The day aims to open conversations about mental health, reducing stigma and encouraging employees to seek help when needed. In this fast-paced world it is more important than ever to create workplaces where mental health is prioritised, ensuring that every employee feels valued, supported, nurtured and empowered to thrive.

Along with supportive environments, it is well known that meditation can help reduce stress and anxiety by promoting relaxation and mindfulness, allowing individuals to cultivate a greater sense of calm and emotional stability. Additionally, it enhances focus and clarity, improving overall cognitive function and productivity. Our ECCQ Chronic Disease Program has developed short meditation and breathing videos in 10 languages which can be accessed here – https://eccq.com.au/mindfulness-videos. As we continue to navigate the challenges of modern work, prioritising mental health will be key to achieving sustainable success.
