CEO Message September 2024

FECCA Conference, 16-17 October 2024

With the FECCA Conference just weeks away, we are excited to welcome delegates from across the country.  The program is now live, and we look forward to the impactful discussions ahead. This is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the outstanding work of Queensland communities and push for the necessary policy reforms that shape our everyday lives. We look forward to seeing you there.

Mental Health Month – October

In response to the widespread concerns around mental health in our communities, a dedicated group of community leaders, in partnership with ECCQ and Griffith University, has been working tirelessly for over a year to develop an Online Mental Health Training program specifically tailored for Community Leaders. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for your remarkable efforts and commitment to this important initiative.

ECCQ Policy Platform Paper

We’re pleased to present ECCQ’s Policy Platform, developed through close collaboration with community leaders. By focusing on evidence-based approaches and incorporating community insights, we’ve strengthened our advocacy to influence state and federal policies. Our work includes forming strategic questions, gathering the best evidence, and assessing solutions that support the rights and wellbeing of vulnerable groups.
