This resource contains 15 stimulating activities which can be used to improve the quality of life for people living in residential care facilities. Often newly admitted older residents experience difficult and mixed emotions after having to leave their home, family, friends and their community. Some may have lived in their previous home all of their lives. Others may have become used to living alone with no family support. These games assist residents to communicate freely, revealing their personalities, sharing their own life stories with staff and other residents, and becoming receptive to the stories and viewpoints of others.
