The Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing offers a free translation service to government-subsidised aged care providers through the Different Languages, Same Aged Care program.
The service helps aged care providers communicate important written, audio and video information to people receiving care whose preferred language is not English. This includes older people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, as well as older First Nations people.
