ECCQ Multicultural Partners program has released two new resources to help aged care providers strengthen inclusive, culturally safe care for older people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
The Inclusive Activities Guide offers practical ideas to help staff, lifestyle teams, diversional therapists, and volunteers create meaningful activities that foster connection, celebrate diversity, and support a sense of belonging.
Care in Your Language: A Guide to Interpreting and Translation in Aged Care provides practical guidance on accessing interpreting and translation services, helping providers support informed decision-making and uphold older people’s communication rights.
Together, these resources offer practical strategies to enhance person-centred care and improve the experience of older people from CALD backgrounds.
