- Empower the Interpreter Workforce: Provide targeted training and skill enhancement for previous, current and aspiring interpreters, building a skilled and confident workforce.
- Foster Stronger Connections: Connect participants with industry experts and potential employers.
- Elevate Workplace Standards: Improve working conditions for interpreters, creating supportive and thriving environments where their contributions are valued.

The IESP Training supports all stakeholders within the industry.
1. Previous, current or aspiring interpreters (Queensland-based)

The IESP is funded through the Workforce Connect Fund, powered by the Queensland Government’s Good people. Good jobs: Queensland Workforce Strategy 2022-2032. |
Duration | Average course duration up to 5 months |
Entry Conditions (at least one) | New Zealand citizen permanently residing in Queensland; |
Refugee and Humanitarian Visa Holder living in Queensland; | |
Temporary Visa Holder living in Queensland with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency; | |
Permanent resident of Australia living in Queensland; or | |
Australian citizen living in Queensland. |
