The Building Australian Skills for Employment (BASE) Traineeship Program, developed by ECCQ, assists unemployed professionally qualified migrants and recent university graduates to engage in paid professional work experience and create opportunities to further develop their skills in an Australian Workplace.
Each Trainee will complete a certificate I in Business, while undertaking a 19-week paid work placement with a community based host organisation.
ECCQ has developed a structured and professional mentoring manual which will support each participant being personally mentored by their workplace supervisor and the ECCQ Coordinator.
Trainees are recruited and employed by ECCQ and placed with a community based host for the duration if the traineeship.
Funding has been approved for the third round of BASE. Recruitment will commence in the second half of March 2021.
