This guide to selling at markets has been compiled as part of Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland’s SWEEP (Supporting Women’s Employment and Economic Participation) Project funded by the Department of Home Affairs in 2019.
Over 50 women from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities participated in this project, attending workshops, information sessions or individual sessions.
Many were interested in markets and this guide has been designed with them in mind, especially women who are new to holding market stalls. It has been prepared by Cathrin Feltham, an experienced market stall seller and market convener with assistance from ECCQ’s SWEEP team.
